What's New at Golden State Quilting?
Summer is almost here and we've been the new owners for a litle over six months. We are still pinching ourselves and having a blast! We continue to be thankful for your wonderful support, words of encouragement and continued visits to the shop just to see what's new. The shop is full of new fabrics, notions and patterns and there is more of everything on the way. Want a hint? Boo! Ho!Ho!Ho!!!
Shop Hop by the Bay starts on June 17th - June 21st. We have been busy stocking up, kitting projects and planning demos to get ready for shoppers to "HOP" by. We hope you'll like what we have planned. If you haven't participated in a shop hop before, it's a FUN, FUN, FUN event. Picture a scavenger hunt for Quilters! Check out the website: http://shophopbythebay.com for more details. There will be prizes, treats and fun for all.
Row by Row starts June 21st
Golden State Quilting will be part of the Row by Row experience this year, and it's right around the corner. It is a shop hop-like activity that runs throughout the summer across the U.S. and Canada. Participating shops give a free pattern for a row designed by that shop. This year's Row by Row theme is water. Customers can collect row patterns from registered shops from 6/21/15 through 9/8/15. To win a prize you must be the first to complete a quilt (quilted, bound and labeled) with at least eight different rows. The first person to bring their completed quilt to our shop will win 25 fat quarters! We will also have a $25 gift certificate for the first person with a completed quilt that contains "our" row.
So when you are off on your vacation adventures this summer, check out our nearby quilt shops and get a free row by row pattern. Have some creative fun during your travels. For more information visit the Row by Row website: http://www.rowbyrowexperience.com/start-here.htm. Stop by soon and see our row.
As always our classes are posted on the website. Look for our Beginning Quilting class to start again soon. By popular demand we've added another session of the Beginning Applique class taught by Gerri.
We look forward to seeing you soon -
